DA VINCI SURGICAL SYSTEM
PROJECT FULLY FUNDED!

The da Vinci Surgical System allows for complex surgical procedures to be completed in a minimally invasive manner. A specially trained surgeon controls every aspect of the surgery. But by using the da Vinci Surgical System, the surgeon is able to operate with greater precision and control through tiny incisions, minimizing the pain and risk associated with large incisions while increasing the likelihood of a fast recovery and excellent clinical
outcomes.
Due to the unique controls and instruments that mimic the nger, wrist and arm motions of the surgeon, the system’s vision technology provides a high denition, 3-D image of the surgical eld, allowing the surgeon to visualize the anatomy that surpasses that of traditional laparoscopic surgery and open surgery.
Just this week, Mercy Medical Center has announced its commitment to purchasing a da Vinci and bringing it to Redding this year!
The Foundation will participate in funding the process of installing and purchasing several additional pieces of supporting equipment that will be required before the da Vinci will be operational.
